Christian Dior Bags

I was browsing through some pictures on the internet when I came across a picture of the lovely Monica Bellucci:

Isn't this advertisement just plain gorgeous? Love the bag! Its design is so elegant and chic! I particularly like that the handles of the bags are golden chains. This makes the black bag all the more interesting. Up to now, I haven't really noticed bags produced by Christian Dior. But after seeing this picture, I quickly went to look up Dior bags.

And man, I'm impressed. Dior keeps its bag designs simple, typically a one tone color. But that does not stop it from looking really sleek and beautiful. Here are some examples of Dior bags that caught my attention:

This light purple leather shoulder bag really attracted me. I simply love that it is of a pastel color. It gives off soothing vibes but also screams chioness! The handles of the bag are uniquely shaped in a circle. Details like these are definitely a bonus point.

Baby pink. Enough said. I have such a weakness for baby pink colored things. I can totally hear it calling out to me... This adorable bag is perfect for those going for a cute yet polished look.

In conclusion, Dior bags are absolutely stunning. These bags show that a little goes a long way. They can still pack a punch regardless of their simple designs.

Elianto Neon Purple Nail Polish

I went to Elianto recently to get a present for my friend. I had no plans to buy anything and was determined to keep it that way. Suddenly, a flash of gorgeous purple caught my eye. And there I saw it. The perfect purple color I was looking for. The purple nail polishes that I have seen are usually too light or too dark for my liking. This shade of purple is simply fantabulous! It was also reasonably priced. I bought it for RM5.

Personally, I feel that the name "Neon Purple" doesn't really suit the product. "Neon" strikes me as a very bright and flourescent shade. This nail polish is certainly not overwhelmingly bright. It's more like a deep royal purple. How could I say no to such a lovely color? Furthermore, there was only one bottle left. It was practically screaming at me "Buy me! Buy me!" So I grabbed it instantly.

I applied two coats to get what I was satisfied with. One coat is enough for those who prefer a lighter shade but I like my nail color to be more opaque. This nail polish lasts quite long too. It was only after five days that it started to chip off and I didn't even apply a top coat (ran out of it =.=). That's good enough for me. I will definitely buy more Elianto nail polishes in the future.

Home

Snapped this picture when I was on my way back to my hometown.

Beautiful ain't it? Orangy evening sky and cotton candy-like clouds combined with serene paddy fields. It's always good to be back. Home is where the heart is after all :)

Food Cravings

Okay, lets admit it. Everyone has food cravings every now and then. Mine struck me when I was in the middle of doing my assignment. Suddenly, a crazily delicious image materialized in my head:

Isn't it just pure temptation? This yummylicious molten chocolate lava cake is from Chili's. I ate it for the first time during the Christmas celebrations last year in Penang. Look at that! How can I not drool when I look at this picture? Huge blob of vanilla ice-cream coated with melted chocolate. Sinfully delectable chocolate cake that oozes chocolate when you cut into it. It has that creamy melt-in-your-mouth sensation as well. Gosh, this is a lethal combination. If you're a chocoholic like me, then you will definitely pounce on this out-of-the-world chocolate lava cake!

Sadly, I wasn't just craving chocolate cake. My greedy mind just HAD to remind me that there was another delicious thing at Chili's. So here it is:

This dish is called Mushroom Jack. It is a whole freakin plate of cheese, mushrooms and chicken. I absolutely love cheese and mushrooms. So needless to say, I gobbled it down with relish! The flavour was simply FAB. Love love love it ♥

Alright, looking at these pictures ain't doing me any good. My stomach is now growling in protest :( I feel like banging my fists and demanding for both dishes! Okay, okay, I will just have to wait until I go to Chili's again to savour these wonderful cravings of mine.

Concealing Pimples

You wake up one morning feeling absolutely bright and perky. Prancing happily, you make your way to the bathroom to brush your teeth. And then it hits you. When you look into the mirror, you realize that a humungous pimple has sprouted out on the very center of your nose. Funny how one pimple can sometimes dampen your mood. In my case, you will probably hear a loud, demented shriek of horror...

Do not despair for all hope is not lost! There are ways of concealing zits. Green concealer is typically used to soften and cancel out redness -- pimples and redness around the nose and mouth area. Here are some green concealers which might help:

Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette

Shiseido The Makeup Stick Foundation (Control Colour)

After concealing the redness of your blemish, apply a flesh-toned concealer on it. This will provide more coverage. I use Maybelline Angelfit Perfect Concealer.

Next, apply your favourite liquid foundation. Make sure to blend it well so that the coverage is even. Finally, apply loose powder all over your face to set the foundation. This will prevent your foundation from slipping and creasing.

These steps should enable you to have a deceivingly flawless face. So now you can strut down the street with full confidence, knowing well enough that you look fab. Ah, the wonders of makeup.  It never fails to amaze me on how makeup can transform one's looks.

Coastal Scents 88 Palette (Matte)

I remember seeing my favourite makeup guru Michelle Phan using this palette and I was like "Wow...that's just FAB!" 88 colors in one whole palette. That's freakin amazing! So there I was, drooling every time it appeared on my laptop screen. But now, I no longer have to sigh over a product I don't own. It's finally MINE, my preciousss! *Think Gollum*

My fantabulous friends bought it as a present for my 22nd birthday this year. Love them heaps  ♥ Coastal Scents is not available in Malaysia so my friends actually purchased it online. They gave it to me when I was in class and I practically shrieked like a banshee. Luckily the lecturer was not there yet... but seriously, I really couldn't believe my good fortune. When I opened it, I was almost blinded by the beautiful array of colors. They are quite pigmented and of good quality. This palette is perfect for a makeup beginner. It has all the colors a person can possibly dream of.

My eyeshadows previously only contained colors like pinks, taupes, golds, browns and purples. These are the colors that I like and I didn't see the point of buying other colors which I will not use. Now with THIS gorgeous palette, I have so many colors to experiment with! I feel happy and thrilled everytime I look at the wide selection of eyeshadows. Crazy right? So now, whenever I see makeup gurus using it, I won't go "Damn, I wish I had that", I'd go "Yay, I have that too!" :)

Kitties

I'm definitely a cat person. Not to say that I hate dogs. I kinda like smaller dogs such as pommies but I find myself terrified of bigger ones. Maybe it is because I got chased by dogs on two separate ocassions when I was little. I was around seven when my granny's neighbor's dog went bonkers and chased me out of the blue. To make things worse, the dog was freakin HUGE. It was mean-looking Alsatian!

The horrid dog stopped chasing half way. But I was really traumatised by this incident. I remember screaming my lungs out and running all the way back to my granny's house in tears. Definitely not a good experience with dogs....

Anyways, back to kitties. I have developed a liking for Persian cats and Siamese cats. Persian cats are just so gorgeous with their stunning fluffy fur. I would love to have one like the picture below. Isn't it adorable? Look at its striking blue eyes and pure white fur *sigh* Absolute kitty perfection...

Siamese cats, on the other hand, are very exotic. Whenever I see a picture of one, I always have the impression that they are really intelligent, as if they know something that I don't. I also like the wonderful contrast of the Siamese cat's fur color -- A dark colored face paired with a cream colored body. Majestic. That's the ideal adjective to describe them.

Look at these cute Siamese kittens! Don't they make you go "Aww...."?

So yeah, I'm totally looking forward to the day when I can return home and have the pitter patter of kitty feet greeting me ^^
